Every four years, the City of Oakland updates its Local Workforce Plan, which helps guide how people access job search, training, and support services through Oakland’s Workforce Development System. This plan outlines local goals like reducing poverty, promoting equity, and helping people find good jobs and careers.
The City’s Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD), in partnership with the Oakland Workforce Development Board (OWDB) and with input from the community, drafts this plan to align with state and regional priorities.
The draft Local Plan is now available for public review and we want to hear from you! Your feedback helps shape the programs and services that support job seekers, youth, and workers impacted by layoffs in Oakland.
