East Bay Greenway Phase II

The City of Oakland Department of Transportation (OakDOT) is proud to develop a new segment of the East Bay Greenway. The cycletrack segment will run parallel to San Leandro Street from Seminary to 69th Avenue, with a new bike lane from 69th Avenue to 75th Avenue.

The City of Oakland’s Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) works to ensure that all communities in Oakland are healthy, strong, and thriving. Our goal is economic opportunity for all Oaklanders and equitable conditions for intergenerational wealth building. The City is seeking assistance with the completion of an Economic Development Strategy organized around actionable initiatives to achieve shared goals over a five-year time horizon. The community-designed and evidenced-based strategy will center the Oakland businesses, workers and communities most impacted by racism and underinvestment.

Electric Bike Lending Pilot Program

The Oakland Electric Bike Lending Pilot Program will make electric bikes available for low-cost rental in West Oakland, Chinatown, Fruitvale / San Antonio and East Oakland.

Emerald Views Residential Development Project

This project was formerly known as 222 19th Street Development Project. The project proposed the demolition of the existing garden associated with the historic August Schilling estate and construction of a 42-story residential high-rise (457’-9” to the top of the pyramidal roof form) containing 370 for-sale units, a 933 sq. ft. of ground floor café, and 357 parking spaces in five levels of underground parking.

Estuary Park Project

The Estuary Park Renovation and Expansion Project is an exciting opportunity for the community to reshape a portion of Oakland’s Waterfront into a great destination for residents, pedestrians, bicyclists, boaters, tourists, and others throughout the region. #OaklandEstuaryPark

Facade and Tenant Improvement Program RFP

The City of Oakland’s Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) invites proposals from qualified service providers to administer and implement the Façade and Tenant Improvement Program (FTIP), which funds business and property owners to improve the exterior and/or interior of their commercial properties. The selected service provider will work with approximately 80 grantees that have already been issued grant award letters by the City and that have been designated for the second phase that will start in 2024, guiding them through the grant process, offering technical assistance, and facilitating reimbursement for approved construction projects.

Family Coaching

Family Coaching is a program offered directly by the DVP to high-risk individuals and their families. Coaches and families practice constructive ways of problem solving, communicating, and making decisions that they are able to apply to any problem the family needs to address, including exposure to violence. This work will strengthen relationships between family members inside and outside the home from multiple generations in order to increase family cohesion, pride, and sources of support.

Fire Station No. 29 Relocation and Fire Training Center and Community Complex Master Plan

Oakland welcomes our community to envision a new state-of-the art fire station, fire training, education center and community complex located at 905 66th Avenue. The relocation of Fire Station No. 29 to this site is a top priority to replace the aging and outdated station. We invite you to learn more about the relocation and proposed plans to include a future fire training center and a community space to better serve the neighborhood and Oakland at-large. We are eager to share more and hear from YOU.
