OPD NEWS:
Four-Month Investigation Ends in Arrests and Evidence Seizure
The investigation began in February of this year, following a robbery in West Oakland involving a group of individuals. When officers attempted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle, the driver intentionally struck two vehicles, one of which was a fully marked police vehicle, as they avoided being arrested.
Officers assigned to the Special Resource Section (SRS) West launched an extensive investigation, collecting video evidence, writing search warrants, and gathering critical intelligence. During the investigation, the officers identified the group from the city of Richmond and linked it to a series of robberies and burglaries throughout the Bay Area.
On June 5, 2025, the investigation concluded as officers served multiple search warrants in Oakland, Richmond, Concord, Antioch, and Tracy. Officers arrested three suspects with outstanding warrants and recovered cash, a firearm, and narcotics.
This successful operation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of SRS East, Ceasefire, the Criminal Investigation Division (CID), the United States Marshals, and the Concord Police Department. The Oakland Police Department thanks all involved for their dedication to ensuring community safety.
