Ceasefire Investigation Results in Arrests and Recovery of Firearms
A three-week-long investigation by the Oakland Police Department (OPD) has led to multiple arrests and the recovery of firearms.
On February 22, 2025, around 11:30 a.m., a shooting occurred in the 800 block of 27th Street. Investigators identified a suspect vehicle and linked several individuals to the shooting.
Ceasefire officers identified three suspects and obtained multiple warrants for locations connected to the suspects in collaboration with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
On March 13, 2025, officers assigned to OPD’s Ceasefire, Special Resource Section (SRS) East and West, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals, served search warrants in Oakland, Sacramento, and San Francisco, arresting all three suspects. Officers recovered a firearm matching the one used in the shooting, along with an assault rifle and an additional firearm.
This investigation showcases the collaborative efforts of law enforcement to address violent crime and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
