May 1, 2020, Oakland Police arrested 43-year-old Jamal Thomas in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the 7500 block of Ney Avenue. Less than eight hours after the homicide Thomas was located and taken into custody.
This shooting was an isolated targeted incident and the suspect and victim were known to each other.
