Details

To comply with the Alameda County Public Health Officer’s shelter in place order to slow the spread of COVID-19 and maintain social distancing requirements, Oakland City Council’s Special meeting will be held via phone/video conference. Scheduled for Friday, March 27 at 11 am, the Special meeting allows the City Council to advance important legislative work necessary to address the current public health crisis posed by the community spread of novel coronavirus, in compliance with Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-29-20.

There will be two meetings: a Special Closed Session at 10:00 am and a Special City Council Meeting (open session) at 11:00 am. The public is invited to observe and participate in the meetings as follows:

10:00 am Special Closed Session

TO COMMENT:

To comment on Closed Session items by Zoom video conference line, register before 10:00 AM March 27, 2020 at: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WNp6b91ySRC2bEEeDcAXr9Q

  • You will receive a confirmation on screen and by email with a link to click before the meeting starts.
  • After you click the link emailed to you, you will be prompted to use the “Raise Your Hand” button to request to speak when Public Comment is being taken on the eligible Agenda item.
  • You will then be unmuted, during your turn, and allowed to make public comments.
  • After the allotted time, you will then be re-muted.
  • All public speakers will be disconnected from the line after all comments are heard and council will proceed with Closed Session.

You will be prompted to “Raise Your Hand” by pressing “*9” to request to speak when Public Comment is being taken on the eligible Agenda Item. You will then be unmuted, during your turn, and allowed to make public comments. After the allotted time, you will then be re-muted
