As you know since March 19th, the City the Department of Transportation (OakDOT) was planning to conduct intermittent, partial road closures from 5900 Shepherd Canyon Rd extending, 500ft downhill.
Last week, the City contractors operating in the 5900 block of Shepherd Canyon Road observed compromised guardrail and pavement conditions in the eastbound lane. As a safety precaution, OakDOT is closing this lane between Snake Road and the fire station. Eastbound traffic is being redirected onto Snake Road and Colton Boulevard. While the westbound lane remains open and safe to drive, motorists should expect traffic impacts.
OakDOT has set the timeline for full reopening in about 4-6 weeks.
