The Department of Workplace and Employment Standards (DWES) enforces the City's laws and policies that protect low-wage workers from wage theft and inhumane working conditions and the City's laws and policies that provide workers with access to quality jobs and small and local businesses with equitable access to quality jobs and City contracts.
